HOTEL IZULU : WEDDING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Reservations will be confirmed on receipt of the full venue hire payment of R12,000, which is non refundable, and signed contract.
- All accounts including menus, bar limits and any other pre-arranged expenses are to besettled in full fourteen days prior to the function. Any additional outstanding amounts must be settled on the day of the function. Extras not on the original invoice are to be settled on departure. The Hotel reserves the right to deny services should accounts not be settled on time.
- A 10% service fee will be charged on the total food bill and the total bar/beverage bill.
- A breakage deposit of R1,000 will be payable fourteen days prior to the function, which is refundable seven days after the function, if no damages have occurred.
- The venue may be booked for the day before your wedding, for set up purposes which can be arranged one week prior to arrival at a reduced venue hire of R6,000, which is payable before the function.
- All prices, terms and conditions quoted are subject to change provided that the client is informed of such changes at least thirty days prior to a reserved booking.
- We require notification of the confirmed number of guests who will be attending, at least seven days prior to the function. Any reduction in the numbers after this time will be invoiced for. If more guests arrive than the original number agreed upon and paid for, the client will be charged accordingly.
8. A maximum of one hundred and fifty guests will be allowed at the venue. Management reserves the right to restrict entry should this number be exceeded. Right of admission is reserved at all times. - No wedding guests except those staying in the hotel will be permitted to utilise the hotel facilities unless all the rooms have been booked by the wedding party.
- The Hotel reserves the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any damage or destruction of the venue by fire or any other cause, any shortage of labour or food supplies, strikes, lockouts or industrial unrest, or any cause beyond the control of the Hotel, which shall prevent it from performing obligations in connection with any bookings in its establishment.
- Neither the Hotel nor its agents or employees shall be liable for any damage or loss which may be caused to any of the goods of the Customer or its employees or invitees howsoever caused. The Customer further indemnifies and holds harmless the Hotel against any claim that may be made against the Hotel by any third party relating to the provisions above.

- Any décor, furnishings, flower vases or any other items not belonging to, or arranged by Hotel Izulu , must be collected within 24 hours after the completion of the wedding. The Hotel will dispose of any items not collected.
- The Hotel does not accept liability for injury to any guests on the premises due to negligence, over-indulgence or any other cause.
14. No alcohol, beverages or food may be brought onto the Hotel premises for consumption. Any guests found to be in breach of this will be asked to leave the premises. Please note that the hotel does not offer a cash bar facility. - All day and evening functions must terminate by 17h00 and 24h00 respectively unless a later time is specifically agreed in writing with the Hotel, at the time the booking is made. Failure to adhere to these times shall attract additional charge.
- The premises must be vacated by no later than 24h00 or a venue hire of R10000.00 will be incurred.
- As per current trends in the market place at boutique hotels all music must be turned off strictly by 24h00 midnight .
- The client shall not be entitled to assign the booking to any third party to utilise The Hotel’s facilities without The Hotel’s prior written approval.
- In the unlikely event of there being a breach of this contract, requesting legal intervention, the party in breach will pay the fees associated with this intervention.
- Agreement to changes of the above conditions will only be valid if in writing by both parties.
- I agree that interest at the rate of 2 % per month on all overdue and/or arrear amounts shall be levied.
- I hereby consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court in respect of any action or proceedings which may be brought against them in connection with any claim brought by HOTEL IZULU CC not withstanding the fact that such action or proceedings would otherwise be beyond the jurisdiction of such Court.
- I agree that if this amount is handed over to Attorneys for collection due to failure to adhere to any of the above terms or for any other reason then I shall be responsible for the payment of all collection charges at the ruling rate and all legal costs as between Attorney and Client and the whole amounts outstanding on the account shall forth-with be deemed to become due and owing even if a portion thereof would not be due in accordance with the above terms.
- All information obtained in any brochure, or catalogue (or which accompanies or forms part of any tender made by the Hotel), which shall include prices, is subject to change and the Hotel will not be bound to comply exactly therewith. The Hotel shall not be liable for any inaccuracies in any brochure or information supplied by it which the Customer fails to verify with the Hotel management. Where a price increase is necessitated the Customer will be notified by the Hotel with a reasonable period.
- SMOKING REGULATION – Kindly note that legislation prohibits smoking in public areas other than in a designated smoking area which is separated from the rest of the public area by a solid partition and where air is directly exhausted to the outside.
YOUR ATTENTION IS DRAWN TO OUR CANCELLATION POLICY
- 1 Should this reservation be cancelled after the signing of this document, but prior to the receipt of the 25% deposit, a cancellation fee equivalent to 10% of the total quoted services rate will be levied;
- If the group reservation is cancelled between 45 and 60 days prior to arrival, the 25% deposit referred to will be forfeited;
- Should the reservation be cancelled between 30 and 45 days prior to the date of arrival, the total deposit received of 50% will be forfeited;
- In the unlikely event of the reservation being cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival, the Hotel will levy a cancellation fee equivalent to the full value of the reservation.
