Dining in Ballito at Hotel Izulu
Gigi's Brasserie
Crowning this unique property is Gigi’s Brasserie Ballito Restaurant, an elegant a-la-carte restaurant headed up by renowned Executive Chef Guy Gorrie. Building on its world-class Ballito cuisine, South African flavour orientations have been added to broaden the palate appeal of the menu for the enjoyment of guests alike. His diverse menu recreates classical dishes in a more modern and health orientated fashion.
Chef's Table
The Chef’s culinary creativity is evident in the array of gastronomic masterpieces. Our recently launched Chef’s Table dining room in the kitchen has been a smash hit with patrons.
The culinary process may be observed through the glass windows and patrons can receive education from the preparation team. Guests have been seen standing in the kitchen chatting with and observing chefs and, even stirring the odd pot so to speak. Tasting menus will be served with or without wine.
The concept of dining with friends in the kitchen is a wonderful new experience
The Wine Cellar
Dine in splendour in this superb candle lit underground venue. This cellar experience is a must for discerning diners and those searching for diversity and originality.
Suitable for parties of up to 12, this is a favourite venue for confidential dinners, romantic suppers and private meals with family or friends, surrounded by fine cellared wines. Specially designed themed dinners are also available.
It is an ideal entertainment too for that very special corporate event.
Poolside Terrace
Our poolside is a favourite for breakfast and lunches. Tables are set around the pool nested amongst tropical palms and sun drenched gardens with light music and a very peaceful, balmy atmosphere.
Eco-Friendly Environment
Hotel Izulu is committed to operating in a greener more eco-friendly environment. The Hotel has recently created a new organic herb and vegetable garden, which will provide fresh organic vegetables for use in GiGi’s Brasserie a superb Ballito restaurant. The principle source of food for the garden will be the output of the “wormery” - one of several “green” initiatives adopted by the Hotel.
